Advanced Systems Design - Graduate Trainee
Intern or GET
Hyderabad, Telangana, India
About
Operating at the intersection of mechanical systems, electronics, materials, AI, and autonomy, we are creating technologies that sit between drones and satellites, redefining persistent aerial infrastructure for civil, defence, and commercial applications. This role is for those who want to build from first principles, learn directly from practitioners, and leave their fingerprints on platforms that will fly. This role is designed primarily as a learning-intensive, mentorship-driven opportunity. Highly motivated candidates who are eager to gain deep, real-world experience may choose to work for gaining unparalleled exposure, responsibility, and long-term growth opportunities. Exceptional performers will be considered for full-time roles as the company scales.
Description
As a Design Graduate Trainee, you will work closely with core engineering teams on the conceptualization, design, prototyping, and testing of aerospace and mechanical and electronic systems. You will be exposed to real hardware, real constraints, and real decisions, far beyond textbook design. This is a hands-on, immersive role, ideal for someone who wants to understand how complex systems are actually built, integrated, and flown.
Key areas of involvement may include:
• Mechanical and electromechanical design of subsystems
• CAD modelling, design iterations, and drawing release
• Integration of sensors, actuators, motors, and control electronics
• Prototyping, testing, and debugging of assemblies
• Supporting flight hardware, ground systems, and test rigs
• Documentation, design reviews, and failure-mode thinking
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, basic electronics, and system thinking
• Working knowledge of at least one CAD tool (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / CATIA / or similar)
• Willingness to work hands-on in labs, workshops, and test environments
• High levels of self-motivation, curiosity, and ownership mindset
• Comfort with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and learning on the fly
Desired
• Prior experience with robots, drones, vehicles, automation systems, or hardware startups
• Exposure to microcontrollers (Arduino / STM32 / Raspberry Pi), sensors, or actuators
• Interest in aerospace, high-altitude systems, or unconventional platforms
• Ability to think across disciplines rather than in silos
• Passion for building things that have national, societal, or strategic impact
