About

The Associate Accountant & Admin will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance, accounting, procurement coordination, statutory compliance, and office administration activities. This role ensures smooth financial operations, supports audits, handles vendor/customer documentation, and maintains an efficient administrative environment for Red Balloon Aerospace.

Description

Accounting & Finance
• Manage daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger updates.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow reports.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, purchase orders, and payment follow-ups.
• Maintain vendor/contractor payment schedules and reconcile statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for engineering projects.
• Manage payroll inputs, reimbursements, and employee expense claims.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, petty cash, and fund-flow management.
• Coordinate with CA for GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and income-tax filings.
• Ensure accurate documentation for audits, grants, and investor reporting.
Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain all statutory registers as per Companies Act norms.
• Ensure compliance with startup policies documentation where required.
• Maintain digital and physical records of bills, agreements, NDAs, purchase orders, and MoUs.
• Assist in preparing documents for grant submissions and regulatory approvals.
Administration & Office Operations
• Oversee daily office operations: facility management, supplies, maintenance, logistics.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials, and vendor onboarding.
• Support HR in onboarding, ID cards, attendance, leaves, and employee records.
• Manage meetings, travel arrangements, and scheduling for leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of company documents and operational plans.
Procurement Support
• Prepare comparative statements, vendor evaluations, and negotiation support.
• Track material deliveries, GRNs, and coordinate with stores/engineering teams.
• Assist in creating and maintaining bill of materials, asset registers, and inventory logs.
Cross-Functional Support
• Provide finance and admin support during launch operations, events, and audits.
• Work closely with engineering, HR, and operations teams for smooth functioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting and administration roles (startup experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks and MS Excel.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Desired

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or hardware-startup environments.
• Ability to set up processes, MIS systems, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with procurement cycles and vendor management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy in finance handling.
