• Work on IoT/M2M communication protocols for ultra-reliable and low-latency connectivity.
• Support development and testing of Edge Compute solutions for data processing and analytics near the user plane.
• Analyse network performance and generate insights using data analytics and AI/ML frameworks.
• Collaborate in the design and evaluation of Deep-Tech components such as SoC (System-on-Chip), Quantum Communication modules, and Quantum-safe cryptography solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, simulation reports, and research publications.
• Support integration of communication payloads into balloon and aerial platforms for field experiments.
Requirements
• Final-year or postgraduate student in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Candidates pursuing Ph.D. or MTech research in communication systems, SDN/NFV, or 6G technologies are encouraged to apply.
Desired
• Understanding of 5G NR and 6G architecture, including RAN, Core, and NTN extensions.
• Familiarity with 3GPP Releases (Rel-17/18), O-RAN standards, and related frameworks.
• Exposure to SDN controllers (e.g., ONOS, Open Daylight) and NFV platforms (e.g., OpenStack, ETSI MANO).
• Experience or coursework in Edge Computing, IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN), and Network Slicing.
• Awareness of Quantum Communications, Photonics, or advanced SoC design concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, NS-3, Simulink, or Python-based frameworks.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.
